Q: I just bought a Mathews Drenaline Compound bow and its so cool.?
I have shot with a recurve for several years and this is my first compound bow. Can you recommend some good sights, rests, and releases that would be good, and any other accessories that I might need. Thanks for your help.
A: single pin from the top, drop away rest both made by Vital Gear, and a Fletchunter shorty… thats all your going to want on your bow. except for maybe a quiver mount. i see guys with so much stuff on there, it looks like an Apache helicopter. all you need is to see, hold the arrow, and release the arrow.
Q: Does anybody know how much a Mathews Compound bow solocam Q2 did cost new?
This model is discontinued and I can’t find one single site that says how much a 2000-2004 model did cost NEW. My friend is selling one for around $450. Has fiber optic sites, Arrow mount on side with stabilizer, cloth case. Is this a good price?
A: It does depend on the condition of the bow and all accessories.
But even at that bows don’t hold their resale value too well.
Bows are like PC by the time it out, it’s pretty much out dated.
And this bow is at least 3 years old.
I would advise you to take the bow to a bow shop and have it checked out for any problems first and while they are checking it out ask them what would be a good fair value on the bow.
$450 seem high to me for a bow 3 years old Mathews solocam, good bow from what I have heard, but still a bit high I would thank.
That my opinion

Q: How is the Mathews Switchback XT compound bow?
I am looking at cheaper bows and I just wanted to know if that bow has any major flaws for hunting and if many people realy prefer this bow.
A: I found many good things in the Mathews Switchback XT it sounds like it would fit your needs quite nicely there is no flaws in it but if you could save up a bit more I would reccommend the Z7 got it a couple weeks ago and im never giving it up usually I trade old Mathews bows for the newer models but not this time. They raised the bar and set the standard to a whole new level.
Happy shooting.
Q: What are the best Stabilizers, Releases, Arrow Rest, and Quivers for a compound bow?
I just bought a Mathews Drenaline Compound bow and its so cool. I just need a little help figuring out what extra equipment I need. Please Help. Thank You.
A: I own a Mathews DXT, I have the mathews HD11 drop away rest. Limbsaver stabilizer ( use a short one if you are planning on hunting ) and I have found that Beeman arrows are hard to beat for the price. I used to use the Whisker biscuit, they are good for not allowing the arrow to fall off, but there are some factors that I didn’t like. If you hunt cold weather, the fibers may freeze. To avoid that use some type of silicone spray on the fibers. You have to buy replacement biscuits. I would buy new arrows and in no time, the fletching would begin to look like a winding country road. I fletched my own arrows and had a lot of trouble keeping the fletch on the shaft, despite many, many tips. Just some of the downfalls with the WB but they are good. I like the drop away much better. Oh yeah, releases, ….. can’t go wrong with a Scott. Quivers, stick with a Mathews.
Q: Compound Bow Question ( Mathews Outback )?
I recently received a Mathews Outback as a gift from my step dad and I couldnt find a release for it but it felt like the draw length was a little long. I bought a new release today and it goes about to my ear on the side of my face but I can see in the peep sight just fine.
It says 28″ and 30″ on the top cam but im not sure what its set on.
My question is if I wanted to go to 26″ do I need a new cam or is that something a bow shop can do?
A: Yes, you need a new cam. Most bows can be adjusted about 2″ (yours goes from 28-30″) … not a huge deal to get changed but you need a bow press or need to take it to a shop.
Q: Mathews or Browning compound bow?
If money weren’t an issue, which bow would you buy, a Mathew or a Browning?
A: I own a Bow Tech (2 years old this coming fall) myself but I have looked into those Mathews and I think they’er one of the best out there right now and by far better then any Browning.
Q: where can i sell my compound bow in singapore?

A: i lived in singapore for 2years and am also an avid archer, im not sure where you could sell one… i know there’s an archery store, or you could just try craigslist…
Q: Best Compound bow of 2008? Mathews, Parker, Hoyt, Martin, Bowtech, Diamond, PSE, or Bear?
Only vote from these 7

A: There are three that are in a dead heat for the best of the best.
Matthews DXT. Bow-Tech Admiral,Hoyt Katera. You can’t go wrong with any one of these bows, you can not list a single bow and call it the best, because everyone has a different subjective opinion on what is the best for them.

A: Matthews switchback is the best bow on the market! It shoots faster and harder than anything I have ever shot. They are a bit pricey, but in the end you will love it.
Q: Looking for info on an “Oregon Deschutes” compound bow. I have had it for years and it shoots great, Need info
The company closed in the late 1990’s and I am having difficulty finding out about this bow. I would like to know what it may be worth today as I am considering moving to a new Mathews bow. The bow has a draw weight of 50-70# and a 50% let-off. Thanks.
A: I would keep an eye on e-bay, that where I go when I’m looking for anything hard to find.
I always find it there to.

Q: I bought a Mathews drenaline bow. It has a spot hogg-it sight and a limbsaver ex-press,?
and also carbon express maxima arrows. I also have a ripcord rest. I am new to compound bow and I was just wondering if I have a good bow with the right accessories.
A: You have an excellent setup from the sounds of it.
Mathews is a great bow. The only down fall with mathews, is there warranty is not transferable. I have seen one of there bows blow up ( Dry Fired ) and they replaced the whole bow for free, no questions asked.
Best thing to do, is maybe find an archery shop in your area to go shot at it. Most have “pro” shooters there that can give you tips, and even let you try different gear on your bow before you buy, so you get to see if you really want to spend any more money
Good luck, nice rig.
Q: How can i strengthen my arms to shoot a bow?
I am a deer hunter. I have a compound bow that i have outgrown but plan to use for the rest of the season. My dads buddy has a mathews bow that is just a bit too hard for me to pull back that he said i could buy from him. I shoot about 45lbs, how could i get the strength to pull 55lbs so i can use this bow?
A: A very simple (sometimes almost too simple) and very inexpensive exercise to help strengthen the “archery muscles” (primarily the back and shoulder – the bicep is secondary):
Get an empty paint can (WITH a handle) and fill it with 50 lbs of nails, rocks, lead, whatever. Set two chairs side-by-side so you have a “bench” to lay down on (if you already have a bench, that’s great – use it, instead); lay on the bench, on your left side (if you’re right-handed – it’ll be the other way around if you’re left-handed), with the paint can on the floor in front of you. Reach down with your “string hand” and lift the can up and across your chest, hanging the handle on your fingers, as though you are pulling a bow string back. (If you happen to use a release aid, be sure to use it to lift the can) IMPORTANT: Keep your elbow “up” and back, as though you are REALLY pulling back a bowstring to full-draw — use your shoulder and back muscles!!! Hold the can up at “anchor” for a few seconds and then lower it back to the floor.
Repeat (say, 2-5 sets of 10 reps each, resting between sets), to build up the muscle strength. When it gets too easy, add another five pounds to the can. Another way is to use weights (that paint can will work just fine), a rope, and a pulley set at shoulder height….
Push-ups are useful to help strengthen and build the “pushing” muscles in the bow arm, so go ahead and do them. You can also do “push-aways”, standing side-ways to a wall; lean sideways towards a wall and push yourself away with your bow arm.
Q: I am looking for a nice compound bow, what should I get?
I have recently decided to switch from crossbow hunting to compound bow hunting and I am looking to purchase a nice bow. My draw length is 27″ and I would like to have a draw weight of 70 pound. I used my uncle’s mathews switchback for a while and I liked it a lot. But I don’t want to bother with borrowing a bow. I have been looking into other mathew bows such as the DXT, Drenalin, and the S2. I will primarily use the bow for white-tail hunting and the occasional elk hunt out west. If you could please help me with what bow I should get it would be greatly appreciated. I am open to all suggestions.
A: If I were to buy a new bow at this moment, it would be one of these three. The Matthews DXT, the Bow-tech Guardian, or the Hoyt Vectrix. All three are the top of the line, and you can’t go wrong with any one of them. Good luck on your bow hunting this year.
Q: Where are some online sites to buy NEW hoyt, bowtech or mathews bows?
Hi,
I am looking into buying a compound target bow. I plan to go to a local store and try them out. Once I find a bow that I like, I would like to do some comparison price shopping. What are some good sites? (besides ebay) I am only looking for new bows and concentrating for now only on these brands (Hoyt, Bowtech, Mathews) Thanx!
A: Cabela’s, Bass Pro
Q: im buying a new compound bow and need help desciding which brand will be better?
Which brand of bow do you think is better? PSE, Bowtech,Mathews
THANKS
A: If you’re new to archery, I’d recommend whichever one your favorite local pro-shop carries. Quite honestly all the new bows are awesome, and most folks can’t really tell meaningful differences until they’ve shot a lot, and even then it’s hard to tell some bows apart.
So go to the pro-shop, have them show you a bunch of intro-level bows, and shoot many of them before you buy. Whatever you find most enjoyable to shoot will be the right one, regardless of brand, because you’ll end up shooting it more and get better.
